I arrived in Paris 20 minutes early which which was very helpful. There is a lot of construction at Charles de Gaulle, so we had to disembark via stairs and take a bus to the terminal. Fortunately, I did not need to change terminals but I did need to make a decision of K gates or E, F, G and there were no departure screens available. Nor did Delta or AirFrance app indicate a gate. Thankfully, I have another app, Flightracker, which had the info I needed.
Going through security was chaos. You put your stuff in bins, including boarding pass and passport, and it went down the belt in helter skelter fashion. I just had to hope I'd be reunited with all my stuff on the other side, which I was. Whew.
Then I needed some more water and got a yoga journal in French. When I get my yoga certification, I can bring an international flair!
I did a lot of walking and standing to offset the next nine hours and forty minutes of sitting and lying down for leg two. The terminal is lovely and they try to temp you with luxury shopping and duty free items
I'm settled in my cosy seat, and I guess I'm ready for this. The longest flight I have done previously was eight hours from Chicago to Maui and I was ready to be off around hour seven. But that was before inflight entertainment and wifi!
